Whilst playing the idle game, I just noticed that I'm getting random freezes of my screen and mouse. Even when I'm in other programs, leaving the game running in my browser. It just started happening since like yesterday or something. Does anyone else have that? I'm currently on the norway/nordic country map. I have no clue why it would do that, but it's really annoying. Also, it's not that my computer is slow, it's a ryzen 9 3950x with an RTX3090, so shouldn't have problems in that department 😅

Do you have the game "Open" open, meaning you can see the map almost all the time, or just running somewhere in the background. When I have idle open but am focused on anything else, I always switch to another blank tab, this way it doesn't really use up any meaningful amount of system recources. But if the idle tab is selected, the web version can be a bit demanding. That's one of the perks of being a member and having the native game client as this is said to be more optimized. Browsers just weren't meant for such use cases, so the game will always feel differently. Some don't use Auto-Conquer or play battles on browser because of that. But given the specs, the remaining system shouldn't be affected by the game. So, either the cause for the freezes is somehting else, or the OS is quite instable iitself, I'd say.

well, depending on the map a couple thousands at least, every territory, every asset (caches, camps, recipes), every box with numbers. And depending on the way it is rendered, the whole page image might be completely generated again and again several times per second. After all, those games are usually based on a html canvas, that the single image files are "painted" on (because after all, even vector graphics have to be rasterized at some point to show up on your pixel-based monitor). Some developers use complex algorithms to determine which parts should be kept untouched and only update / repaint any changes, some developers just clear the whole canvas in every update cycle and start with a mono-color background and add all the images again. Don't know, if you were able to find out which approach Warzone is using. And this all has to take place in a single thread (because browsers effectivly aren't using multi-threading for a single tab). If the OS is bothered by a single "rampaging" thread, then this can cause other system artifacts/instabilities.

PS: I don't know whether your graphics card even does anything in this context. It might, but rasterizing vector graphics on a canvas could be too complex for GPUs.

Ok finally figured it out, as I had some other odd issues as well. Turned out to be the mobo/gpu combination. Had to turn the PCIe slots to gen3 instead of gen4, as PCIe 4 on ryzen with the higher rtx's cause USB problems when load changes. All fixed now. Of course, the map is still a little stuttery, but that's no problem, at least my mouse doesn't drop now 😅
