Maybe i should have started with something smaller but i really wanted to make a map of my homestate of Hesse.

I am especially unsure how big the bonuses for the different districts should be.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Indeed looks very good. Seems like a good map for a good match. Anyways there are some missing connections:

It is very simple:
Territory A <-> Territory B (Bonus in wich A is located/Bonus in wich B is located)
If they are in the same bonus, then I'll obviously only write it down once.

Reichelsheim <-> Brensbach (Odenwaldkreis)
Reichelsheim <-> Fischbachtal (Odenwaldkreis/DarmstadtDiebrug)
Mossautal <-> Wald-Michelbach (Odenwaldkreis/Bergstrasse)
Bensheim <-> Gernsheim (Grossgerau/Bergstrasse)
Alsbach-Hähnlein <-> Bensheim(It looks like they should be connected, but I'm not sure)
Gernsheim <-> Zwingenberg (Grossgerau/Bergstrasse)
Gernsheim <-> Bickenbach (Not sure about this one)
Pfungstadt <-> Alsback-Hähnlein (Not sure about this one either.)
Obertshausen <-> Offenbach (KreisOffenbach/Offenback)
Eschborn <-> Swalbach (MainTaunusKreis)
Hochheim <-> Ginsheim-Gustavsburg (MainTaunusKreis/Grossgerau)

that was the southern half of the map, I'll have a look at the northern side soon.

It seems like your bonusnames do not have any spaces in it. Shouldn't it be "Main Taunus Kreis" instead of "MainTaunusKreis"? You don't have to change the bonusnames in Inkscape to do this though. You can add the spaces in the warLight editor, without having to put them into Inkscape.

Wow, thank you very much [REGL]Min34.

Some of these connections are some real mistakes but sometimes it is very tricky to see if they actually have a connection. I am probably have to double check every questionable border with wikipedia and google maps.

And i totally forgot about the spaces in the district names.

Hey Godzilla,

You map looks like it's progressing good. However there are a few issues that u should look into.

From what i see few territories (Eppertshausen, Zwingenberg, Hirzenhain, Wahlsburg, Waluff) seem too small to fit the number of armies. There is a button in the map editor "show example armies" that shows two digit armies so try it. If u are aware of this and already checked, then i'm talking nonsense are just ignore the post :D

I would try to avoid cross connections like the one between Gelnhausen, Linsengericht, Freigericht, Hasselroth because they look confusing as to what connects to what.

Territories like Bad Soden Salmunster, Steinau, Gutsbezirk Reinhardswald, Hofgeismar are split in two but in a very confusing way maybe u should try to make this simpler.

The Bonuses are too big in my opinion and u should try to make them smaller. Maybe divide every district in north and south or something like that and then make the whole district a superbonus (bonuses bigger than 7-8 territories are very hard to take and disrupt gameplay). The basic rule i use when choosing bonus size is territories -1 is the bonus size(5 territories = bonus of 4) and for superbonuses i divide by 5 or 4.

Oh one more thing :D always run few tests before publishing to avoid mistakes in connections and other issues that may cone up :)

Herborn <-> Siegbach (Lahn Dill Kreis)
Ehringshausen <-> Solms (Lahn Dill Kreis)
Grünberg <-> Homberg (Kreis Giessen/VogelBergKreis)
Schotten <-> Lautertal (VogelBergKreis)
Burgwald <-> Battenbach (Waldeck Frankenberg)

And that was all I could find :D Good job (have you already worked on it?)
I have to say that the territories in the northern part of Kreis Kassel (Green bonus on top) are confusing.

Thank you Incaman for your feedback.

I want to make this map as realistically as possible that is why there are some very small territories and some split in 2 in confusing ways. I dont want to change the form of these cities because that could offend the people who live there but i will think about it.

The cross connection was indeed a bit confusing and actually wrong by a few meters in real life so i moved the border a bit in the newest version of the map.

The bonuses are still creating some headache over here. Creating some artificial smaller parts of the districts would go against the spirit of the map but would greatly improve gameplay so i will probably try it.

The thread about how to make the lines smoother was confusing to me when i first started but i will pay more attention to it when i make another map.

And yes i actually tested the map myself a few times before posting the link over here but it seems that every time i fixed a connection between territories i deleted another. The editor for the connections seems to be pretty sensitive.

Thank you Min34 for your follow up.
All these connections were mistakes i missed, and yes i still had worked on it.

The territory Gutsbezirk Reinhardswald is indeed confusing as hell. The area is just one giant dense forrest with just 2 people living in it who run an inn. But it doesnt belong to another city or municipality.
Fun fact: this is the forrest where the sleeping beauty Fairy tail is coming from.
