I am sure this has been asked before so sorry. If units are flown in a territory then it is attacked do they die first or last? In other words, say I schedule an attack of 20 units but have 10 units flown in. If attacked first and only 5 are lost in defense. Will the planned attack be 20 or 15?

Yes, airlifted units die first, you would attack with 20.
