I like it myself. I don't see what anybody would care (unless their real name is in their profile, which already makes them open to being found in real life).

I do understand the argument that USA breaks down to the state level and other countries do not. That seems odd to me.

I have had so many fcking creeps asking me where i exactly live...
It's fine for big countrys like USA China Russia but smaller countries like Ireland,Georgia,Belgium it can be a real problem.
Also Sorry I did'nt see any topics with a Country flags in the first page..

Duck - I agree with Bane here. new threads just alienate past discussions on the topic, so people end up rehashing the same arguments.

ChessPlayer - country size makes no difference. if someone lives 'near' you they might ask where you live. I've had people ask me too. Having no flags would certainly stop that...how often does it happen (that you can't just say no)? I think having the flags helps a lot with alts, so if there is real hardship I would genuinely like to know.

But theres an easier solution on finding them.. If Fizzer installs a system which where Warlight sends a confirmation email to send to your email address to activate it... kind of like chess.com you know?

I Think this only needs to apply for people from microstates, for everyone else, there is no need to hide it.
