[WG] Winter aka YAAT, you need a compass in your life and a light on your way. So many possible mistakes out there. And Ratio is a whore who can give reason to anything, so no compass there. You will tell me, that by believing in the word of the bible I am just following another one's Ratio. But I have to say, that must be a very superior Ratio to mine. I can say that after 20 years of experience. There must be a loving superior Ratio out there. ;) And no, I don't want to discuss the bible. Been there, done that. I know the arguments and I couldn't live, if I wouldn't. So I had to hear all of this that people might say against the bible. I weighed it, and it didn't hold - according to my ratio so to say. But there was more than that. I simply know my Jesus and he knows me and I know that he is seeing me, because he is there for me, quenching my fears, soothing me and giving me strength from outside of me, taking away my sins. Experiences I cherish. He is my bonus, noone can take from me. So if you don't like religious people, I will bear that. I got all, that I need to live.

Hey, just because i'm an atheist doesnt mean I dont like religious people. :) I have religious friends all the same.

Everytime I hear someone say they are sending their child to Bible Camp over the summer I find myself repressing the urge to punch them.

Your first and second paragraphs seem to contradict each other, first you blame the children for being gullible then you blame the parent for taking advantage of gullible children.You claim children are gullible and you blame them for your perceived gullibility.

Also kinda of swift of you to jump to the assumption he was born christian,perhaps he simply converted in a later time.
