It's Monday.

I haven't had a drink in 10 days.

It's been interesting.

How is everyone else doing?

Very good boston!
I congratulate you, you are doing well.

I recommend that you start working out to ease your efforts. It will distract you and improve your physical and mental health.

I work 11 hour days doing manual labor.

Not sure I could be doing more physical laboring.

Exercise is a great way to keep yourself motivated and focused though. Distractions are always good.

I'm back to 0.

Have gone out with coworkers on my last night here. Off to a new job tomorrow.

Dinner at the little local pub. It's actually lovely. New Zealand beer is by far the worst I've had. I may even take corona over this shit.

When I started this. I want to say my life partner of the last year decided she didn't want to e together. We are seperated by a couple thousand miles and while I am planning to go back to aus for Christmas there's many questions to answer. I was devasted. I was broken in body mind and spirit. I drank heavily for about a month am decided I couldn't do it anymore.

Those who know me. Actually have known me. Know I used to drink heavily. It came down to a simple question. Is this the person I want to be or do I want to give myself the best chance to not fuck up the next one. I drank to forget one and gave it up to not make the same mistakes.

For those who are continuing with this in hope your time is going well and you are making positive steps.

great contribution qwed.

I've sorta stopped trying last few days, I just finished exams for the moment and I've been out and about with some mates.

A big thing for me was drinking at home alone, I've pretty much stopped doing that which feels good.

Exercise is king. It makes me feel a whole lot less grumpy and miserable, it takes a little while to kick in, and I just need to do it. Then I'm set.

I'm unsure how one can consider giving up something that one has deemed a negative influence on themselves and supporting others doing the same is ageist.

The only thing this was meant to be was a support for people who may need it. Regardless of your age I would think one would have the thought to understand that that was a notable thing and have the decency to leave it alone.

While this thread may not be your your thing. Why not create your own thread to discuss whatever you want?

You lot should try converting to islam. Muslims never smoke or drink in the first place and then you've actually got a reason not to...
I've never even touched a cigarette in my life!

I am uncertain to what extent I am open to this becoming a relogious conversation. Let's let people keep whatever religious beliefs they have.

Personally I am rather religious.when I was 18 after something considerable happened to my life i thought about becoming a priest for a very long while. I still cary the good book and read it often enough.

I grew up episcopalian, Anglican for those who may not know better. We get to marry hahaha.

While I understand your message was meant to be irony. If you had any serious intent perhaps start your own thread?

I needed to let go of something very heavy in my heart mind and spirit this past week andI have taken a break from this pact though I plan to continue it soon.

I want to let this be an open message. Reach out to someone who has seemed genuine in this thread if you want to try to do this or just someone to listen. If someone comes to me and says I want to take this long and want someone to donut with me I will do that. We haven't been in your situation. No one has. But from my experience it is so much better to reach out even To yell at someone and just yell them than keep it inside. I have looked several bad situations face on and hopefully may be able to add something constructive and helpful.

What I'm curious about is, it says Sobriety Pact, why is Qwed, a self admittedly non smoking/drinking 13 year old, even interested in this thread?

Congratulations guys, well done! It's a big deal even if only for an hour, that you proved you can show self control and you're a stronger person than you may think you are :P
