You don't play autogames, and you've always looked down upon those that do and hugely underestimated them.

People with 90% winrate should probably be the only people dictating who could and couldn't get such winrates, people with 50-60% making such speculation is like an amateur basketball player telling Michael Jordan in his prime what he needed to do to improve,

I had a 90% 1vs1 record before I focused on facing lots of top tier players. Does this make me a top player then or does it mean warlightvet is correct ?

You had a 80% 1v1 months ago before you were a member, it hasn't ever fluctuated much that I recall.

I also doubt that most, let alone all, your 1v1 games are strategic 1v1.

I used him as a comparison because he has an account that has 90-95% 1v1. ie. He's the baseline of how good someone would likely need to be to win 90-95%.

black lotus, my win rate hasn't changed by a single % since i took them off my profile (because they were heavy and encumbering), it's at 62% in 1V1.
I played autogames before and won about 80% of them and that was a good while ago, i wasn't nearly as good as i am now.
I certainly don't look down on people who play autogames, it's just that membership offers better options for practicing strategic 1V1, open games with high win rate requirements. I've never really cared about win rate myself, i often surrender the tutoring games for example when they're over because some people do care. As long as i'm over 60% i'm happy, since a lot of open games require a 60% 1V1 win rate.
When playing autogames you get a lot of "free" wins because people who are opening the multiplayer tab for the first time tend to join them, to try out the game, and either just play horribly or get booted.

Winning 80% isn't that difficult, even if you try and avoid the brand new players (by checking stats of people before accepting so as to avoid the people that won't be any sort of challenge at all), but I consider winning 90% to require being twice as good as someone that wins 80%, and 95% to require being twice as good as is needed to win 90%.

ie. The 95% player loses 5 per 100, whereas the 80% player loses 20, as such I'd consider the player winning 95% to be approximately 4 times better than the player winning 80% since they're losing 1/4th as many games. The closer you get to 100% the more extreme this affect becomes, where someone winning 97-98% is once again twice as good ag s someone winning 95% (this is all assuming that the people in question play the same caliber of opponent).

I think there are a lot of people that can win 80% of autogames, just not many that can win 90%, and incredibly few that can win over 95%.

If I intentionally try to avoid the complete newbies, and people with under 40%-50% 1v1 I can win 90%+, but if I do my best to avoid the "free games" I tend to hover around 80%-90%.

Summer plays autogames occasionally with an alt (not sure if she wants it named so not mentioning which account it is) and it is only at 90% 1v1, and I think she's at least as good as you are at 1v1, and better than ChrisCMU is.

2 month ago i play 30 autogames in a row (playing at same time 3/4 game) and i win 28. the 2 loss was one bc luck -8 and other bc i get booted.
if i focus and play only 1/2 games at same time i say i can do more then 90%.

You're a former rank 1 on the ladder, ChrisCMU isn't, there's a pretty large difference between you being able to do it and him being able to do it.

I'm confident I could do it if I cherry picked opponents. If I just played a 100 games versus a "slice" (a representative sample) of all Warlight players , probably not. Maybe %70 win rate in that scenario as I think the general population is worse than the ladder population overall.

I don't consider myself a great 1v1 player either.

Graybeard/Alex has a %69 win rate, as he pointed out, and I consider myself a much better player than him (sorry, don't want to be harsh, it is just my opinion).

We don't have much history together to prove it, but in our promo league I only lost to [WM] Fridge and he lost to Fridge, Myself, Mr.Miyagi and [WG] Reza.

I imagine a lot of his 1v1's are against 101st members, who IMO are on average likely worse than autogame players. The only 101st member who has ever given me a good game is Kero Star.

First of all, I'm not a good Strat 1v1 player. I'm decent if I take some time to take a turn, but it takes a miracle for that to happen. How you got a good game out of me is a good question. (The last time I've actually *thought* about a turn was Season 8 when I was 8-0. I gave up on thinking when I lost once.) (... and this is the second time I deny the fact I'm good at Strat 1v1. Huh.)

I'm 1-1 vs. Greybeard in 1v1's. I've played over 50 games with him. He's not that bad of a player, though not at the level of Chris. Aside from the rare 101st Round Robin, I don't think he plays much against his clanmates. So, saying most of his wins are from 101st members is about as accurate as saying most of his games are from the ladder.

Eh, anyone can get a 90% winrate if they cherry-picked opponents. Though if you wanted efficiency you'd just win against your alt for a 99% winrate. Don't see how this is worth talking about.

Omniscient, first of all I would like to tell you are pissing everyone off. This thread is for a guy trying to find a clan, you flipping butt in, you first take the mick out of someone's stats, then when Aranka says his bit after, u then post a list of games that you've played 'no need'. To try and say that your good. You then draged this thread on to 67 posts. Take your arguments somewhere else the majority of people on this forum don't want to hear your shit.

Secondly, that's ok Chris ;) I know your better than me (however it wasn't nessicary to include me).
And yes about 20% of my 1v1 games are against 101st yes. Then I play about 40% Auto games and my games i create. And the other 40% tourneys and leagues.

I know their not the best of players, but they are capable of playing a good game of 1v1. Also how do u know the average of 101st players and auto-gamers u don't- so......

Arguing that you aren't the best 1v1'er in your clan is silly. Play the humble card all you like, it doesn't change that only Kaizer comes anywhere near to your performance on the ladder out of the 101st members to have been on the ladder.

Also claiming you didn't play well in the game vs. HHH last month is silly as well, you played better than one of the games best players, but still played poorly? Please.

Oh, and Grey, we have played. I played you on the ladder months ago.
