Every time when you play a USA map, some how you may find that the map is too rectangular in the middle, feeling like playing square? Even if you play a more detailed map, the rectangular states are further divided in more rectangles, very dull and boring.
My idea is either create a new map or use other's map like the 3.1k one and modify it slightly and adding more bonuses.

i 'm not sure that adding bonuses to the USA3.1k-map is a wise decision ...

But, U.S West counties were drawn into boxy blocks, you can't separate them any further into anything significant... at least I think that's what you mean.

What I meant is to divide those states rather into more squares, but by watersheds, and add bonuses to watersheds that crosses few states.
