A chat room for everyone on the server. For example: Kongregate chat room for a multiplayer game. The result of this is better communication which leads to a better gaming experience.

I visited the IRC when I first signed up but it was mostly deserted. I agree that "global" chat integrated with the game's Web client and app would be excellent. I made the same suggestion when I joined. The IRC channel as it is is not fit for purpose as you have to load it separately.

Speaking from the perspective of a clan manager,

Using "chat games" a.k.a games that never start, and are purely for communicative purposes, is a temporary solution. However, it does have limits;

a) the number of players allowed in the chat depends on the level of the host, and caps at 40, making large clans somewhat unwieldier than they could be;
b) this communication is group specific, meaning, it does not reach out to the greater Warlight population; and
c) it is not real-time; there is a slight delay before the game checks for new messages.

This issue is not of apocalyptic proportions, but perhaps a more efficient way to communicate can be discovered?





P.S. There is a Skype chat for Warlight, if anyone is interested in exploring other options. Myself and several of the top players, and many other players, are plugged into it.

The kongregate chat screen is very efficient and actually fun to use. In addition, the the Kong version of Warlight is a multi-player game and therefore a nice sweet chat room is added on. It makes my life easier when I am playing with my friends.

Back on topic please. We need more support by the community for Fizzy to refocus his priorities to make communication more comfortable for us players instead of the empty, but also clunky IRC.
