I'm just curious why some people change their names so often (like once a month for some). I really don't get it, so I was just curious. There are some good players on here that change it pretty often.
I haven't changed mine at all (aside from adding clan initials).
would be nice to be able to privately lock a users name though. Like some messanger programs do. So whatever name the user changes into you still recognize the person immediately.
yes there are mushi, qi always changes his name, so does [insert word]psy , i change my name all the time on my old accounts too. You change your name quite a lot as well.
So far I have gotten sarcasm, who cares and not much else. I was hoping one of the people that do change a lot would enlighten me (with a serious answer).
serious answer for Chris: As far as I am concerned - it's just a whim.. maybe with a little tiny bit of being bored with the previous nick.. the real question is - do the people change their behaviour with each namechange? does it influence their personality and/or gameplay? i would say yes if we would discuss multiaccounts, but what about namechanges? do they change the way we act? (namechanges for sure implied roleplay for gui a few times but how about others?)
Now where's Gui when you need him? Perhaps he could explain his name-changing behaviour to all of us (what name does he go with now, anyways? I've gotten a bit out of touch for the past few months...).
Because they want to try out new names. These are usually players who don't stick to one name on the internet, but prefer to change a name to whatever they feel like every 20 days, to try and see if they prefer it to their old one, to mess up with people's heads ;)
