If 4 players are playing a 2v2, in what order are their picks allocated?

The Wiki is inconclusive http://wiki.warlight.net/index.php/Manual_distribution: "All players are put into a random order[...]In team games, WarLight also ensures this is fairly divided between teams. "

The last sentence would indicate that the 2 teams picks would be distributed either
ABBA or BAAB. I dont know who wrote that part of the wiki and i dont play much 2v2 so i thought it best to ask. Gui suggested it was 100% random and could go AABB or ABAB.

That Gui guy obviously doesn't know what he is talking about.

What about for team games of 3v3? What does the inanimate WarLight "ensure" to be a "fair division" of picks?

its the same as a four person ffa, it could be AABBBBAA or BBAAAABB or BABAABAB or BAABBAAB

if i'm not mistaken it'll be the same for teams as for players, say there're 2 teams A and B, the picks will go: ABBAABBA
within each team, the picks that are gotten are distributed between the players like in 1V1, so say team A got their picks 1234, player 1 will get 14 and player 2 will get 23

I find it odd this isn't in the wiki, i could swear i read it there.
As far as i know like warlightvet is saying teams get handled like players.

So in 3vs3 case:

players A,B,C are from team 1
players D,E,F are from team 2

it gets randomly calculated which team gets first pick, and also which player from the team gets it, then it bounces to the next team, and at the end of one iteration they assigned in reverse order. So possible examples:

ADBECFFCEBDA
CEAFBDDBFAEC

There is probably some thread in the forum where Fizzer clarifies this, am too lazy to look for it right now, but would be nice if someone could find it and add the official info to the wiki.

I believe this is innacurate.

To X and now aranka, I have looked through a ton of 2v2 ladder games in prep for joining the ladder and I havent found any examples for or against. As you can see by the discussion and lack of specificity on the wiki, this is a pertinent question, so if you dont have anything to add go fuck yourselves. =D

If you couldn't find any in the form of A1 A2 B1 B2 or A1 B1 A2 B2, doesn't that suggest that it is always A1 B1 B2 A2?

Picks are determined by the exact same algorithm as move orders, so:

Team A: playeres A1 A2 A3
Team B: players B1 B2 B3

Suppose team A gets first picks and A{i} get's an earlier first pick than A{i+1}

A1B1B2A2A3B3B3A3A2B2B1A1A1...

1. find a example where it is AABBBBAA
2. have fizzer answer the question
