Group A has finished with a 5 way unbreakable tie for first place!! Frank has stated that since the tie doesn't affect relegations, he could live with keeping the tie. But maybe I lightly troll him by creating a "tiebreaker" tourney anyway XD

This group still being held up by HHH's vaations, but two very important results happened... Mirror won his last two games against Krzychu and marc. NOT GOOD FOR ME arghghghh. The two players in A who are leaving the league *might* mean I stay in B but that depends on Frank really, I'm not impartial enough to make that decision :x I could really use a win against HHH should he choose to actually play...

Other than just two games, one each in groups D and F, the league is being held up due to HHH taking back to back to... at least a half dozen vacations. If he continues to hold up the league even after groups D and F finish, I'll have to talk to Frank about maybe disqualifying him :/

But I hope it won't come down to that.

Make the tiebreaker Tournament

You can do the same for group H if the tie matters....

Okay maybe soon but don't blame me if you have to play season 14 tiebreaker and season 15 concurrently XD

(Also for group A isn't Season 15 basically a tiebreaker anyway?)

Is it only first place that earns a promotion?

"Currently, the model is to typically have the top two promote and the bottom two relegate but there are exceptions. Where there is default – a player becoming inactive or asking to bow out of the league – there can be more promotions to fill in the vacancy. Where this happens in several groups there can be a lot of shuffling. The principle, though, is to usually have at least one player from each group relegated. Several retirements mean fewer relegations and more super-promotions to keep the groups filled."

Pushover, can we lay out next season ignoring HHH and then adjust it based on the results?

I don't think disqualifying is fair because he's not breaking any rules with vacations. If you need to move on, just don't count any of his games and leave him in the same division for next season.

I'll bring this up to Frank, but what's to say he won't do the same thing next season? Then we're back where we started with a 6 player group. I'd much prefer he becomes active this season and finishes his games.

IMO perpetuating inactivity through vacations - HHH has seriously been on vacation more often than not this season - is something that should be discouraged not encouraged. If you don't have time to play you should drop out like everyone else.

The trouble is you make people start over. I got busy, dropped out and had to start at the bottom. If you allowed a vacation from the league it would be better

Maybe for every season you miss, you get relegated one level?

Any player inactive in the last three games of any tournament is deemed to be out of the league and can only return as a new player in an expansion or bottom group.

For now this rule applies. This means Old Surehand must start at the bottom, and HHH still has a chance to show he's active. Though HHH just booted from 2 games so chances look pretty slim.

Any rule changes would have to be made starting next season. However, there would have to be more than one player interested in changing a rule for there to be a chance of it being changed... and managing inactive players seems like a lot more trouble than it's worth.

My personal opinion: The current rules reward activity and punish inactivity. I see no reason to change them.

I know it sucks that you have to start over, but it's the most fair thing to do. When people leave people get super-promoted to fill slots. I can't just demote extra people just because someone wants his slot back a few seasons later. And we can't always count on enough people leaving, so having to join the lower group again seems like the best way to go to me.

I wasn't complaining about myself. I am just warning that if you punish those taking a vacation it will be VERY harsh since we do start over at bottom.

Personally I don't mind a vacation (they are allowed in the tournament settings). But HHH is kinda pushing it with his multiple vacations.

vs Ineffable i surrendered after 11 turns
vs Timon i was booted
I have not been inactive the last three games!
