I just started working on a map of Bolivia, and i was trying to divide a territory using the divide tool. When I used the tool, the territories disappeared. What happened and how should i fix this?

I just got it to work, but it instead tuned into 3 territories instead of 2. The divisor was a straight line. I drew it again and again until on the 5th try, the thing worked

and it started back up again

I think you can't use a straight line with the divide tool, it has to have at least 2 or 3 segments, I'm not sure. You can do them out of the territory, so the division is going to be a straight line.

I have Inkscape on Spanish so I'm not sure if it is ok with "Path => Division" but I think you may understand.
