the south east asia template with 3 neutrals should be edited to 2, if not kicked. I recall at least 2 templates with local deployment, byebye to that we should. Season I and Battle Islands arent my favourite too. The rest are fine.

how many people were playing 1v1 ladder in that time? I think wl just doesnt have many users and there is a network effect in ladders, especially RT ones.

I would've played in that time if the templates would be better.

i disagree with Gui, i like the current templates, i think the two main reasons why so few people play the RT ladder are:
1) it's not easy click to play. i.e. you have to click around to find it and then wait an undetermined ammount of time.
2) you can see who is actually active on the ladder at that point, most players started avoiding joining when there are no higher tier opponents for them to battle with, or using their alts whenever more convenient. would be nice to have that changed, to just list the number of players online instead of the actual names.

It seems far more likely people would attempt to avoid playing the high rated players, not avoid playing anyone but them.

I'm not saying it's what you'd do. But the average player on warlight is a noob. A noob is not looking to play the best player(s) possible so that they can pad their rating. They're more interested in finding an opponent who they have a chance against.

When I join I just want a game. I don't care who I'm playing as long as they don't stall.

The templates aren't all that great but I can live with them.
What's really stopping me from playing more often is the lack of players who are joined at any one time. Obviously by not joining I'm perpetuating the problem but the alternative is manually checking every five minutes to see if I've got a game because there's no notification given and that's pretty annoying.

Yes really. You are mistaking the people like gnuffone as being the average player. They aren't. The average player isn't trying to game the ladder.

It might be the vocal minority, but it's still the minority.

nauz is right, the average players just play whoever, theres is the same crowd of ppl playing (usually) daily and then just sit there untill they get the games.

I just play whoever is on. But time is issue for me. Games can take an hour and it can also take a while to get a matchup. Unless i can start playing most games in a half hour, the ladder doesn't suit me.

The recent lack of play could be from heavy load issues in the last week, but it wasn't a high volume before that either
