hey guys, Haven't really bothered trying to earn the Gold star until now, minimum amount of turns i can win in is 10..can anyone tell me what moves to make and such so that i can get the achievement of 6 turns?

get the middle east b4 ukraine, just cut ukraine down to 1 so u can get it nxt turn. Then, don't lose momentum

take europe in 2 turns, thats all i remember =P
move toward the ai every single turn (i think you have to take a few 3V2 risks, can't remember exactly)

This is a challenge I think you should give yourself for a sense of achievement. It is so simple and can be done with no risk. If you get told exactly how to do it and followed the instructions you would get nothing out of it.

4v2s (minimum) all the way.

i took europe with 2v2 but its not necessary - just to to get to australia as fast as possible.. income doesnt really matter here.. ;)

and yes, i agree with Sir FB - you should really experiment and think it out yourself - that way you will learn something instead of just copying other peoples moves...

It requires a small amount of luck in regards to dicerolls, but not much. Shouldn't take more than 2-3 tries.

Takes a bit of gambling of the first turn. If it doesn't go as planned, start over:

Turn 1:



You hit Ukraine 2v1 and 4v2 on Middle East

Turn 2:



3v1 on Ukraine, 4v2 advancing toward him

Turn 3 and 4:





Maximum armies advancing toward him. With really bad luck you might fail to advance on turn 4, if so just start over.

Turn 5 (two attacks)





Turn 6

I disagree. If it's taking him 10 turns there are some really fundamental things about good gameplay that he just doesn't get - and will get instantly upon seeing them. Like he may not realize he has to get the bonus or that 4v2 is optimal or that anything other than a straight line to him is wasteful etc.

I don't get this level either.

At a minimum, it takes 7 turns even with luck. You have to cross the Middle East, India, and Siam just to get to Australia. Once there, you have to conquer 4 territories.

Conquering Europe for the 5 army bonus doesn't matter.

Actually, I take that back. The map requires lots of luck. You have to conquer Ukraine in time while conquering towards Australia. That way, you can conquer New Guinea and Western Australia in the same round.

The map takes way too much luck to be worthwhile. Not fun.

I love losing 18 in Siam versus 8 in Indonesia. /sarcasm

Can you please turn down or off the luck modifier on this map?

...and again except now, Australia manages 11 instead of 8, and I can't pump beyond 18 because of not taking Ukraine early enough.

Forming a challenge around luck is very stupid.

After 8 attempts in luckily getting Ukraine in the first round, I won.

Australia has between 8 and 13 armies in Indonesia by the time you get there. If you don't conquer Ukraine right off the bat, then surrender and try again.

Look simply at Billy's screen shots, I have no idea why you are saying that there is a lot of luck, sine it is 16%....
