Opponent had better stats than me, but i still won.
So how does this clan thing work? People told me they will invite me when i have played more and i have.

How can I see my invites?

Congratulations on your improvement, I'm positive there is a clan that would be happy to take you. I don't know if there are still teaching clans, one of them would be ideal if any clans do that.

As for your opponent in this game though he/she might have had better 'stats' but from such a low game count (Completed 49 ranked games (25 [Won] / 49)) They would not be considered by most as a 'good' player.

Good job Namib. But i suggest you to forget stats and try to play team games with good teammates. Ask them to help you with your picks and moves. Join tournaments. Tournaments are good to discuss moves. These will help you to improve. By the way with these picks you have no chance against a good player. I never lost against an opponent who triple picked ;).

I think they might meant even more. As you maybe can see, many players have more than 1000 games.

And about that invite thing, i don't think you get invited to very many clans out of nowhere.
Here you see the list of all clans -> http://warlight.net/Clans/List . Go and find a few clans you like, and contact their leader(s). If they have any requirements, it probably say so on their page. If you reach the requirements (if there are any), maybe you'll get a positive response.

You have an odd style. You win in the most unconventional ways, your picks are so goofy. Like the nerdy girl in the rom-com who takes off her glasses and lets down her hair and suddenly everyone realises is super babeing. I'd like to see how sucessful it would be against the best players. You would generate some entertaining games at least.

That is if you only play 1vs1 ME otherwise there's no point

You get three places at the start, but it is always good to pick 6 places at the beginning picks 4,5&6 are your backup picks.

These are incase your opponent has chosen your second or third pick as his/her first or second. If this happens the game gives you your 4th choice pick. If you don't have any back ups it gives you a random spot - this is why you got Greenland in that game. (which didn't work out bad for you) You could though end up in a big bonus with a wasteland if you don't have any back up picks.

There's Mian being taken down by very, very similar picks to those made by Namib. I've beaten Gnuff with WC triples as well, probably other top players too.

How is that even comparable? I see no reason why you would post a 3,4,5 same area pick, selling it as a triple pick, other then mind my saying a show off against a good player.

But i agree with you about not having lost to triple pick ever is BS, because i am sure everyone with a certain amount of games will have experienced that more than once.

you should make 6 picks

I pick more sometimes, but i dont see why.
When you dont pick 3 you get something else and your opponent can not know which.
So sometimes i do, but sometimes i think it is better not to pick 6.

I post more games so you can tell me what to improve, or what is already good.
And i am a little proud of winning so many games now :)

You are right. The least picks you make, the better.

Your opponent can never 'see' your picks, the only way they can know them for sure is if they chose it and didn't get it. That means they know that you have it. And it's always best to pick 6. Look at any ladder games from the top players, they all pick more than 3.

Game 1 vs Kasparov: You got lucky with that counter that you probably didn't know was a counter.
