I won't mind playing on a different map, but honestly, I think this will mess up the whole league, especially if you change the settings too often.
But if people what to play different settings, why not host a side event? Like a direct elimination tournament for the players of the Promotion/Relegation League, played on different settings and map. Called it a "league cup" if you want.

The league cup idea might make more sense.

Thanks for the input. I'll continue to consider views, but it doesn't seem like we have the strong consensus to make changes. So unless there is a new avalanche of demand, I think we keep things as they are.
Aper's idea of a side tournament sounds like a good idea, but I would look for a different volunteer to set that up. It's enough for me to keep up with running the original concept.

Unfortunately, I'm gonna have to step away from this league. I may be burning out on warlight in general.
This was a really fun league to be a part of. Thanks for organizing it every season and keeping it going and strong.

Thanks for the notice. So far then, we have 6 from A, 5 from B,C&D, and 6 from E,F,G&H.
Applying the rules as best I can to make new groups of 6 for the next season, I think the pattern is as follows (letters indicate placements from the current season):
A: aaaabb
B: aabbcc
C: bccdde
D: cddeef
E: deeffg
F: effggh
G: fgghhh
H: ghh&newcomers
This, of course, is subject to further retirement announcements (which are considerate for planning purposes!)
