JR, your pent up anger and frustration is palpable. My Gui character evolved into an a-hole. I accept it, and it can be fun here. Why don't you just come out of the closet and embrace your feminine side? With a new account, Warlight could be your own little world to anonymously explore and experiment with your inner self.

I like Gui's top tips for ladder domination including 1 he just worded it badly. Having a rating based on fewer games does not necessarily give you higher rating but it is the only way anyone has got over 2200.

Having a tiny sample size of games leads to very inaccurate ratings. For some this inaccuracy works in their favour and they get seriously overrated eg zibik. When there are 20 top players its not unexpected that every so often one of them goes 20 games with only 1 loss.

A good way to get a high score is to take advantage of this inaccuracy because if it goes in your favour you will have a super high score, and if not you can always try again in a few months. This is why so often someone will sit on a personal best/the no.1 spot with very few completed games and then their luck finally catches up with them and they get 3 losses in 5 games. Like Niko, Chris and now Dunga.

The obvious fix is to penalise players ratings the fewer unexpired games they have.

Gui, I like how you call it "your Gui character" as if you're a better person elsewhere in life. As if it's all a charade and you're actually a really considerate and respectful person. I didn't read the rule that said our anonymous accounts had to be the same exact personality that we have in real life, thus blending incognito and real.

I especially enjoy it when you attack me and claim on your profile that you are "more sarcastic. Give up." Then if I am too sarcastic you give up and run to Fizzer crying "Gui bullied me. I wet my pants and the pad I use to contain body fluids from my menstrual cycle wasn't enough."

Instead of having your current misleading tagline (it's you who gives up!), I'd suggest a more truthful one: "I'm unhinged and on the rag. Give up."

Lets say I am 1800 rating and they are 1900 rating. When I win, what is my boost (assuming no other games finish for either of us?

Hmm, I can't really make sense of that. It doesn't really say what the columns mean.

I wish this was explained in laymen's terms somewhere.

You can run your own ladder simulations to check what would happen in different situations. So if you want to know what would happen if you beat a 1900 player, just find the player who's 1900, add in a win against them, and check what your rating changed to.
