In the book Outliers, author Malcolm Gladwell says that it takes roughly ten thousand hours of practice to achieve mastery in a field.
http://www.wisdomgroup.com/blog/10000-hours-of-practice/...Which is definitely the most interesting aspect of the book. The rest is the usual Malcolm Gladwell generalizations, over-simplifications and false correlations.
But it made me wonder how many games the top players have dedicated to WL, and how many hours that translates to. For instance, Gnuff has played over 7000 games with his main, and who knows how many more with his alts. That must be 10.000 right there, no?
Gnuff- without revealing specific alts, can you approximate how many games/hours you've played? Who else might have that many games/hours under their belts?
