Hi all. I want to download the svg of a map. In the forum it says you can do this by clicking on the multi player tap, create maps and then edit this map. That doesn't work for me, as whenever I click on the edit maps, it takes me to my own maps that I've created, and doesn't show any others.

Id like to start with an example map of Europe. Can anyone help?

You can download SVGs of your own maps. You cannot do so for maps that you did not design since that is their IP. You would have to ask for the creators permission to use or modify their SVG.

You have to trace over a map for it to work.

Would anyone like to share a version of any of their maps. Any maps would help :)

What are you attempting to do? SVG files can be found online for free at place such as Wikimedia commons.

I would like to see an svg file that someone uploaded, so I can figure out what I am doing wrong and see some tips etc. If anyone would be kind to make available any svg file that they uploaded, even an old version, I would appreciate it.

I sent him two of my SVGs (New England and Massachusetts) so he has something to look at at least.

well ... it seems like quite a roundabout way to get inkscape/map wizard tips. shabi hasnt appeared and im signing out of chat now. feel free to create a game with me if you ever need help (or still need help), and i expect richard wouldnt mind either.

Hey, thanks for offering to help. For whatever reason, my territories would simply not load. I took the map that was sent to my address and deleted everything except on territory and then started creating more, and now my maps can load. I really don't know why my other tries didn't work, Im sure it was because of some setting that I didn't really know anything about, but in any case, this strategy worked well. If either of you would like to colaborate on my map, Ill let you know once the basics are in and Id be more than happy to share it with you.
