JSA vs Challenger: Best of 7 Realtime series: 7/4/2014 20:47:02

I will accept any challenge under these conditions:
1)Challenger must be any of the following:
a) 1v1 Ladder top 10
b) 2v2 Ladder #1
c) Seasonal Ladder - finish top 10
d) Realtime Ladder - Top 5
e) A member of 20, Apex, WM, WG, GG, Lynx, Master
2)Challenger cannot be
a) On my blacklist
b) an alt (my opinion of whether you are or not)
3)Map must have more than 20 territories and less than 300 territories and Superbonuses need to be set to 0(possible exceptions)
4)The Challenge must be played realtime
5)I reserve the right to quit the challenge at the conclusion of the first game if I really hate the template.

The 7 games of the challenge will be played on the challenger's best template. This can be a 1v1 game, 2v2 with alts, or 3v3 with alts. Preferrably, all 7 games can be played in one sitting, at the most 3.

If you are interested, invite me to a game with the settings you would like to play, and we will figure out a time when we can play realtime.

To pushover and nauzhror, I am fine with playing both of you even though you don't meet the prereqs. My goal is to learn other templates and practice adjusting to more templates, and I know you are both fine players, despite not having a large amount of ladder success.

To miyagi and gnuffone, bring it on :)

Also, I have the clan requirement up there for a simple reason. If a player is a member of one of those seven clans, the player probably is exceptionally strong in a certain setting or is good all around, either of which I am willing to play.

Is the high requirements because you are afraid of being humiliated loosing to someone considered "not good" ?

Bananashake, in all honesty, I expect to lose more than half of these challenges. My goal is not about winning as many as I can or proving myself to the community. My goal is to learn to adjust to different templates better. In this challenge, I'd much rather lose 10 series on various maps to great players than win 10 to mediocre players.

As I said above wih nauz and pushover, the prereqs are not final; simply a guide.

Mystery man, read rules 1 and 2b.

I don't believe you have to meet all the criteria Potato, I believe your top 10 qualifies you.

The first challenge has finished!

JSA vs Miyagi - Strategic Turkey (No Local Deployments)

Game 1: http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=6566866
JSA wins - Decided on pick luck

Game 2: http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=6568546
Miyagi wins - Decided on pick luck

Game 3: http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=6568608
Miyagi wins - Good predictions

Game 4: http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=6568665
JSA wins - Better picks (Miyagi triples pick for fun)

Game 5: http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=6568718
JSA wins - Better picks

Game 6: http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=6568749
JSA wins - Pick luck

JSA wins 4-2. Turkey plays very well for a fun 1v1 game. The main portion of skill in this template is predicting the other player. I do not recommend it for competitive play, because in this series, 50% of the games were decided on pick luck. I remember playing Miyagi on this around 3-4 months ago though, and he beat me in like all 5-6 games we played. So I think luck only plays a big factor if both players are good, but this template is relatively easy to learn so too often, games will be decided by luck.

Big thanks to Miyagi for the series; it was a great honor playing you, and I still consider you the Master of Turkey :)

I will play Potato, Pushover, Nauzhror, Bananashake, Gnuffone when we have a chance.

Also, I will post all of my future game links here as well for those of you who are interested in watching games.
