"Any programmers here that could shed some light on this?"

I am a programmer and the light I can shed is that by fizzer saying 'it's not possible because no data is sent to the client' he is trying to mislead non-programmers who wont know what that means.

The 'client' is just your web browser. To play a game you have to send data from the client to the server - warlight. The server receives data from both players (their orders) and then sends that data back to the clients - presumably once both players have input their orders.

Fizzer saying it isn't possible for anybody to ever get access to that data at any point in that process is, at best, misleading. If somebody got access to the server they would certainly be able to intercept orders. But he doesn't even list that as a possibility, he incorrectly states that it isn't even possible.
