A) i can play ofc. But most player will not unless is an official ladder.
B) i like almost all template. But most player will not join bc they like only 5/10 maybe. Too many template=less chance to see an high number of player.
C) no automated = this will die in a few month. Like the 9 tourney of the 20 by you or the champion league by szew.
D) i really like change teammate. But other player no. Almost all would join ladder with a friend and stay with him.

For this points, i think will fail.

GUI, don't talk shit about how I run 20. The templates this season were not decided by me; it was done by a vote of 20a members. I have heard more complaints this season than the other 2 seasons combined where I picked the templates by myself. As I recall, you gave up on 20 after one season because you couldn't find the players to play. I do the best I can on it; I was actually gonna give up the idea of round robins and try something else this season but a couple 20a members talked me out of it. My plan this season was to actually have 2 20 events and I am starting on the second one soon. This one will be similar to your 20 idea a few seasons back but I plan to keep making te tournaments with it.

I've been back on the forums for a couple weeks now. I've just had little time or desire to post in more than a few threads. I'm glad to say warlight is not a big part of my life anymore, as it has been for the majority of the last 2.5 years. I just hope I can keep my game count low and not become overly involved anymore. Qi has one thing right that the ladders use boring templates and are too easily gamed. I only play the 2v2 ladder currently because of the talking with a teammate aspect rather than the competitive aspect (although it's always a nice plus when you beat a strong team.)

Show me a CLOT that has lasted more than 6 months. There are plenty of leagues and challenges that follow certain rules and continue to do well. But if you ignore these facts, it would be perplexing, because in theory an automated CLOT is far superior to the organizational shit we have been doing on WL these years.

Pen and paper shit: [20] leagues, JSA's stuff, Nation Cup?, LIVE weekend tournaments, clan league, etc.

Fizzer's shit: 1v1, 2v2, seasonal, RT ladders

CLOTs: crickets...mosquitoes...wind blowing...but...in theory...CLOTs...are perfect...

Based on reality and not theory, there are only two ways for something to be successfully organized long term.

CLOT is a perfect name for it. Like how a blood clot develops, it works for a while, gets stuck, and dies.

Show me a CLOT that's been well publicized and easily accessible, as is being offered now.

Those pale in comparison to what you're proposing.

If you want to talk about reality, talk about the fact that most 2v2 teams don't last more than a few games together.
