I would like to include an image in the SVG file and have it stay on the map when I upload it. I have read that in order to do that, I need to convert the image to vectors, how do I do that?

How large exactly is a really large map? Will 4.8 MB load slowly, or is that okay?

Issander you're back!
We missed you for a long time, I think it was aproximately a year!

Wellcome home. Everything has changed on warlight ever since!

For example:

-Warlight players have now levels, you can level up by experience
-minimail is added
-you can now edit your reply on a thread
-new topic: clans
-you can not test your map in public mode anymore
-most common bugs are fixed
-new offer of different WL maps

and many more...

Some bad news: Diplomacy and lottery games are now more popular on Warlight :(

yeah, the graphics will add a lot of file size. You can reduce the resolution of them too though before vectorizing. Another option would be to just trace it manually (if it is not complicated), might result in a lot less file size.

Its a pretty complicated picture. I tried to use the inkscape vectorizer thing, and it only does black and white.

The effect I am looking for is kind of like this map:

It will have territories on top of a realistic looking map.

it does more than black and white. You have to change scan options. I think I use like 8 bans maybe. I did the inkscape scan tool on the logos in here:
