I think the new changes to the forums are a positive step. They were getting out of control, with the Dashboard only showing the most useless posts, letting any useful discussions sink to the bottom.

I wish the change Russ is talking about, the appeal to the use of proper grammar, would be heeded, but I doubt it will. Unfortunately, since there's no real way to enforce the proper use of grammar, there is no real motivation for people to do so.

Besides, how to tell if someone is using poor grammar because English is their second (or third, or fourth) language. which I think is acceptable, versus someone using poor grammar because they can't be bothered or are a mental retard?
