This one is between Final Fantasy and WoW

I like Gaia's astectics as opposed to the circles of WoW. It's much more pleasing. The mapmaker put time and consideration into his masterpiece.

Agree. I'm also partial towards Gaia: the lack of superbonuses on the GIGANTIC (and tbh cluttered) WoW map is a strong negative for me.

I love the "mountainous" zones with negative penalties on the WoW, but there aren't nearly enough of them in my opinion. Outland for example only has a single "mountain" zone, between blade's edge and the swamp. Using more judicious mountains could lead to much more interesting strategy, especially considering how large all the bonuses are.

Gaia's flaw imo is that the superbonuses are worth too much. Large superbonuses make the game essentially an RNGfest to see who can tidal wave their opponents the quickest. All of the superbonuses could be cut in half to retain their value without making them overly dominant.

While those maps looks nice and big, they are based on fantasy games and therefore ineligible for votes. Tatarstan takes this week from a gameplay perspective, easily.

I second TST in that I'm not familiar with either fantasy setting and I prefer to play on smaller maps most of the time, so I'll go for Tatarstan.

Tatarstan, unlike any of the other maps, has some useful information on its map screen. So it will not only provide fun to us, but also make our community smarter!

TST fantasy maps and fantasy game maps are eligible for votes, just look at the winners of previous weeks. I’ve just voted for Huge Gaia having played a couple games on it! One of the more solid maps I’ve played, gameplay was really fun and it’s a good looking map

@waffle no worries :p But it is a fact that fantasy maps are eligible for votes, just in case any voters get the wrong idea

Chile is too small and extremely linear, I can't imagine having a lot of fun on it.
Yet another world map seems booooring, and for a "FFA map", maybe a bit small.
WoW is just huge.
Tatarstan is very nice, and almost has my voice, but...
FF9 looks like a map I would like to play a big FFA on - lots of variety and also good art.

Chile wouldn’t get passed pending nowadays, the aspect ratio is terrible

Tarastan is a low quality map but the gameplay is fine, just wish the borders weren’t so jagged

WoW is a huge mess, the territories are shaped weirdly and overlap and so do the borders, overall it’s just an eye sore

1941 uses a weird projection, also not a big fan of the ocean territories or diplo maps in general

Gaia is great, there was effort put into the graphics and the artwork adds a nice touch. It has my vote
