Ironheart, knowyourmeme is horrible, but at least if you read its entries you would realise how far off most of these macros are. As a rule, if you have to go to knowyourmeme then you have no business using the meme. The point of them is that they reference a shared experience, and you obviously havent shared the experience. Fizzer, Gnullbeg and Bais are the only people contributing memes as far as I can see. And they are cancerous reddit/tumblr summerfaggotry. DAE le rage comic? lel.

Why not post genuine WL memes? Gui moaning about the ladder is a meme. You dont have to write anything in capitals over a picture. You can if you want, whatever, just make it funny. You think the pictures are the bits that make it funny, and that make it a meme but theyre not.

I`m sorry, but I really do not see any difference between those and the rest of the memes used. They are the same IMO. Those are called memes, as is the rest used on this thread. They are all used in the same way? Really, what is the difference?
And I think that your other post doesn`t really make sence too.
I mean:
"A meme is a pattern in behaviour and style. Almost noone here follows the patterns because they don't understand them so they use the style because it's trendy."

Really? nobody understand memes cause memes can only be about behavior and style? Noon here follows the patterns because they don`t understand them so they use the style. Are you trying to say that we should use this memes different cause they are not about behavior and style (They`ve never been about that).

I might have just misunderstood you, but this is what I understand (and it doesn`t really make sence to me)

You don't know what a meme is, you fucking meme hipster. I find it hard to believe that you are this stupid, so I can only assume that you are trolling.

I don't know, why don't you?

Gui moaning about the ladder is a meme.

No it isn't.

A meme, as first defined by Richard Dawkins in "The Selfish Gene", is one unit of culture that is capable of replicating. It is analogous to the gene being one unit of heredity. It's not a perfect analogy, but the logic is this: Much like a beneficial gene, a popular meme will be selected for and propogate. A crappy meme, much like a gene that causes lethality or other problems, will become extinct. Like genes, memes can mutate and evolve over time. Dawkins may have coined the term before the internet existed, but the definition is still applicable.

So is everything posted here a meme? I can't see why not. The problem is that while a gene is mostly defined as a discrete sequence of DNA on a chromosome that leads to a functional protein or RNA molecule, defining a unit of culture is hard. I am sure sociologists have done it, but I don't know it and my guess is they fight over it. But the animals and pictures from quickmeme and whatnot are clearly internet memes. They exist on the internet, they are cultural, and they replicate based on popularity. The philosoraptor is a successful meme because I see it often. I don't know any of the ones that have become mostly extinct, but there must be millions. The pictures on this thread are a piece of Warlight culture, and each one has the ability to replicate. I don't see how they could not be Warlight memes. Some of them may be terrible, and will be selected against, but that doesn't mean they aren't memes.

There may be a fancy-pants new definitions for meme, but if you go to the OG Richard Dawkins, everything on here is a meme.

Natural selection isn't predicated on the removal of genes which have adverse effects. It is more of a positive feedback system. You don't want genes to go extinct, as that limits variation. Because genes interact with their environment, although a gene might be undeniably harmful to its carrier, in another situation it could become useful - it could even preserve the entire species. There's really no such thing as a "crappy gene" (I know you said crappy meme, but you are expanding on the connection between memes and genes).

So it's more accurate to say that a meme which is less likely to inspire replication/reproduction will be overshadowed by more popular memes. It doesn't make it crappy, necessarily, it just means it has its limits.

One of the most unimaginative and dull memes, in my opinion, is "keep calm and carry on". Yet it is actually one of the most popular (and profitable) memes. Within an unimaginative and dull section of the populace, it has found its niche.

Apart from the spelling mistakes and wrong analysis (green seems to have the advantage here (12 income per turn), not yellow (basic income,5)) it's oke.
Btw, if it's a FFA red's hiding troops tactic is actually quite efficient.

Um skrill... Red's got it in the bag unless green pulls something incredible off.

Red put all the armies there to protect his one bonus why everyone else fought it out and expended their armies.

Yellow's definately not going to win. After purple, he's the next one eliminated.

And noone took the last neutral in Asia because you'd just be throwing away armies for a territory that will never lead to a bonus.

Finally, what's an anal-ization?
