I am officially opening the WPA.
As said in the previous thread, is an association for us to rank overall tournament results.
It will also consist of a Full Season, which will have 4 Grand Slams Tournaments, 8 Major tournaments and 8 WPA Big Series tournaments.

I will post more details about the calendar later (because lots of players will create them), but so far i will be responsible for 2 tournaments:
The WPA Open, that will be a Grand Slam and i will start it Monday the 16th.
and the Apex Invitational, that will be a Major event.


I would want to invite The Don for being a host for a Grand Slam and a Major Tournament. And the Clan Elite to host also a Grand Slam, 2 Major Tournaments and 2 WPA BIG tournaments.

Aside this season, it will be allowed to every tournament created to be a part of the WPA ranks. I will talk personally with a few people and when i see created tournaments, but feel free to ask permission to include your tournament in the WPA regular events.

The ranking will be highly explained later when VaporX post the ranking tables I made online (with copying the design and the idea from the Elite World Tour project sorry/thanks for that).

But they will be divided in several ranks of tournaments (that will give different amount of points of course):
S5
A4
A3
A2
B3
B2
B1
C2
C1
The Letter will be decided by: who is the host, the template, the settings, the invited players and if it serve for a bigger picture.
The number will be decided after the tournament is started and we can take a look on the attendence, will be players strengh oriented.

They will be further explained with comparison values among the other ranks.

So far I made ranks for double and single elimination tournaments from 8 players to 256 (512 is not an addition to 256). There will be ranks for round robins tournaments, as well for 2v2 and 3v3 rankings.

Todays Live Tournament will be an WPA event and that will make the ranking going, because of course it will take a while before the bigger tournaments end and we start seeing the full ranks. But once we are in the middle of the season we will have a nice ranking.

It can be a WPA BIG event in the WPA Season, but i would have to play a little to see its balance, maybe with a more traditional start settings?

Different settings will be probably ranked B or C as regular events.

The tournament that you created wont be that tournament, delete or it will be just a regular event.

I think this could easily be added to the list of tournaments. The second round is almost coming to an end and I plan to run this tournament periodically during the year. Fun thing is that everyone is ranked once they finish the round.

By the way, if you or Vapor need any help with setting this up and keeping it updated and running, I'm able to help. I've also run my own wiki a while back so I can help manage that.

I'm offering because I know how huge this thing will get.
