Doing this, while possibly politically correct, makes the map impractical as it becomes impractical to take any bonus involving the French territories.

Even though others agreed and I offered up a reasonable (in my opinion) alternative (using political as opposed to continental) bonuses JAM just saw the input that he asked for as negative so responded with ... "if you don't like my map don't play it" ... obviously that made me awestruck by his maturity.

Yea, just another map that will be panned and hardly played. Not the first, won't be the last.

And it's not even meant as an insult... I've done four maps and only one of them was actually worthwhile.

To put it more maturely, you ask for opinions, and yet when you see opinions you don't like you respond with immature comments. Like "wah wah then just don't play my map" (even though my comments were echoed by many different people. Ironheart was talking about your response to me ... but your (seemingly) insecurity refuses you to consider it - so you write it off as criticism and ignore it. My responses were constructive - but your definition of 'constructive' seems to be 'anything that does not disagree with what I say'.

@[REGL]min34- As you may have noticed, throughout my map every territory is named by the countries it consists of. For example, Greece-Bulgaria-etc. is not named Balkland and Algeria-Tunisia is not named Mahgreb and Austria-etc. is not named Central Europe and Vietnam-etc. is not named Siam, because that would be inconsitent with every other territory in my map.

Åland is not a country ((belonging to Finland) (as Gnullbegg stated)), however, it is self-Government. The same goes for Greenland (Belonging to Denmark) and for Faroe Islands (Belonging to Denmark). So the map should deal with Åland, Greenland and Faroe Island in the same way.

Russia is both in Asia/Europe exactly as Turkey in the real world. So if Russia is in both bonuses, Turkey should as well.

Why are some countries "double countries" in one territory is it because they are small (?).


The Bonus for each continent should not be the same. You could for example to some like:

EX1.The Bonus for continents should be based on how the developed the continent is.

EX2.how many countries in the continent belongs to "group of X" (Link to wikipedia:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G8 , http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Group_of_Twelve).

Look at the map "real-life Europe" (Link: http://warlight.net/SinglePlayer.aspx?PreviewMap=9440) to get an Idea, however don't make it so complicated.

JAM, did you already play a testing game on this map yourself? I'm kinda worried the Caribbean will be impossible to fight in because nobody can figure out what connects where...
A possible solution would be to use different scales for different parts of the map; that would allow you to enlarge areas with very small countries, without affecting the rest of the map.
