Just curios about which templates most players here prefer. Personally, I like Gui Roma but I often enjoy just playing fast 1v1's on small maps. Strat 1v1 is also not bad when I want to think more.

ROR is overrated map imo

I like:
•RDR 1v1 cause it's small and my map.
•3v3 Europe, different templates
•Treasure map
•Strate 1v1 when I'm up to it, rarely. Quite boring sometimes.
•Greece 1v1, 0%
•Rise of Rome 3v3 and 4v4
•Alternative Africa

Edit: ROR is not overated at all, it's still one of the best. IMO team games are it's purpose not 1v1. It's strategically one of the best team games map but also has a very quality look.

It's overused, not overrated. It's still a fantastic map from a strategic view. But so overplayed(like stat 1v1), that everybody knows everything, so it's unlikely you hold any knowledgeable information. The only way to truly outsmart(or just farm) your opponents is using unusual settings.

I would say everything thats not:
-a too big map
-anything else than 2 in non-distribution neutrals
-too high luck
-MA
-ffa
-auto-dist.
-only 1 pick
-ect...


and about template, i like guiroma, greece, pulsea, strategic ME, warhammer, battle island, GME, SE Asia, ect........ AAND of course Apple map

Lawlz/Alex; he said imo. I agree with him; RoR is one of the worst accepted maps I've ever seen.

My favourite settings are Season VII! Heavy Earth yay!

Heavy earths pretty nice, but i think sometimes the slowish expansion can be nice and the lack of leftovers sometimes piss me off lol

Everything said here is ultimately an opinion, Imo. Saying imo doesn't exclude from criticism.

And ROR is a perfectly acceptable map. No need to say anything else, except that there are far better maps, and far worse.

He said he thinks is is overrated; i.e. that he does not consider the map to be as good as it is portrayed by the majority of the community. That means nothing you say can dispute that point.

RoR is acceptable; otherwise Fizzer would not let it into the game. I just consider it to be far inferior to most other maps.

Sometimes, I multiply the values of the bonuses, the inital distribution armies and the base no. of armies per turn by 10

On Imp Rom, times bonuses by 100 and play with 3 teammates vs. 8 opponents. You should win unless the other team agrees for half of their number to kamikaze.

Lawlz; this isn't a game so it's not really winning in that sense. It's just proving your intellect is inferior.
