I have to first confess that I haven't researched the forums or wikis thoroughly before asking this question, but here goes.

It seems as though the ranking system of round robin tournaments resolves win-loss ties between players with a simple electronic coin-toss. This is what we are noticing in the Promotion/Relegation league tourneys.

If that is correct, it seems like it would be a good idea to have some basic secondary rules for the auto-ranking (such as head-to-head results being an obvious tie breaker). This wouldn't necessarily resolve all ties (as when there are 3 way ties), but it might be better than nothing. Am I wrong about this? Is there some basic information I've missed? Is there a uservoice suggestion about this already?

It already works that way. Head-to-head victories are the tie-breaker.

So what about a three way tie? How is that resolved?

For instance, player A beats B, B beats C but C beats A. All of their other respective matches were won. Who wins in this case?

WarLight somehow declared me the winner, but I have no idea why since my results equal those of Luxis and Anakin.

3 way tie seems to be resolved randomly.
