This is a follow-up to the voting thread on the real time ladder here: http://warlight.net/Forum/Thread?ThreadID=36176

The results are in!

The two lowest-voted existing templates were the 4-player FFA and the auto-distribution templates. These two will be removed.

In their place, the two highest non-existing templates are being added: Guiroma and Strategic Greece.

The changes take effect immediately.

We'll let this run for a while and do another poll that keeps swapping out templates.

While I think taking out the FFA and auto-distribution templates was a good idea, I agree with Tim on the rest. It would be nice to keep adding more templates if possible.

Agreed. I'd prefer only the disliked templates to be removed (which I think is done now) then just continue to add templates and not remove any more.

the season I and II also might have been disliked as well and I personally think that the autodistribution was a nice template to show how well you do if you really need to improvise for what your tactic will be while with the other templates you already should have a small tactic in your mind and a view about where your opponent would be at that point

cool update.

imho the "usability" of playing the realtime ladder still needs to be sorted though, i speak for myself that i would play it a lot more if i didn't have to keep 2 warlight tabs open (to be able to quickly join and leave at will) and keep refreshing "your games" page hoping for a new game to pop up sometime soon when i only want to do a quick game. and if it's annoying on desktop i can only wonder on mobile.

Useful thing to note, games are created every 5 minutes (i.e. 14:00, 14:05, 14:10, etc) so you only have to refresh after the 5 minute mark.

Light fog is kinda annoying, but not to the degree that I'd vote it out. Other than that, maybe take one out and add 2 in every update? I suppose that's a good way to keep the ladder from becoming bloated with templates, while adding enough to keep players satisfied.

An idea came up in my game with Panda:

This game almost forced us to make similar/same picks and was basically decided on 1st pick, regardless of how pick #6 could have been changed. Anyway I proposed an opportunity to "reshuffle" board if both players agree to. By reshuffling I mean generating another map with same settings, so that players can get a less luck-based board. My question is, would it even be technically possible? I do believe that could change a lot of the games that are focused too much on first turn bonuses.
