The preview map has been changed (to test it and still be able to make changes).

The map will go public within two days. I want to fix India a bit and divide up 2-3 of the largest territories in Africa.

If you see any problems with the map, let me know.

Perhaps it was intentional on your part, but I think the new map might be too "busy." It's likely better for bigger games, but it's significantly more complicated and has even fewer defensible locations.

Though I don't think the new map is bad, I'll still mark my preference for the simpler map you had before.

i will prefer it if all nations were divide instead of being a single territory like nigeria

1. The title is misleading, it indicates that the map contains all of Europe, Asia and Africa. Oil trade or something like that might reflect the map better,
2. Switzerland isn't part of any bonus.
3. The inter-bonus borders are still overlapping.
4. One territory in Spain is called GACCL. To make it more consistent with the other territories, I think it should be called Galicia-Asturias-Cantabria-Castile-Leon

this map would be good for like long term 16 team single elimination 4v4 tournament. it's alright except for that spot in northwestern spain and i believe shia should be shite, atleast that's how i thought it was spelled.

No, "Shia" is [correct](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shia).

The word you're looking for is "Shi'ite" (the word "shite" is the British spelling of "shit"; while I understand the mistake, it might be mistaken for a racist pun, so please be careful about getting it right...).

Very good Evreux!
Some new ideas:
1) Kaliningrad should be part of Russia bonus;
2) Iceland can be connected to Norway instead of Azores. And can be part of Scandinavia bonus instead of Island bonus;
3) You can add Malta and made a new bonus with Gibraltar, Wales, Scotland and England.

Thanx for listening.

P.S.
Why Kabul is part of NATO bonus?

- i agree, the map is a bit complicated. i'm thinking of making a simpler map of 100-200 territories.
- 'replublic' is spelled correctly again...
- kalinigrad: good idea.
- iceland: culturally/historically better, but playability is questionable. i'll think about it.
- gibraltar: messy. it's in iberia. it's a geographic bonus.
- kabul: isn't nato the puppet master there? lol
- misleading name: more than 3 words and it's messy. troll's europe is missing parts of europe and includes parts of asia. europe 1600 includes parts of africa and asia. come up with a short but better title and i'll use it. '80% of eurasia and 80% of africa' doesnt roll of the tongue.
- Galicia-Asturias-Cantabria-Castile-Leon: i'd like to, but isn't that a bit long?
- switzerland: they made that decision years ago lol.
- inter-bonus borders? what is that?

I think [this WL wiki page](http://wiki.warlight.net/index.php/Map_guidelines#Border_overlap) explains it perfectly.

Perhaps you can create two maps: a medium version and then a large version. The distortion with Morocco is slightly irritating. Perhaps you can slightly extend the borders southwards just so Iberia and Morocco appear normal.

i started the second one already. it's 240 territories so far. i'll try to get it to 200 or so, if possible.

i see what you meant about morocco. i trusted the map i used for africa. google map shows things a bit differently.

africa map + matma's middle east svg + a europe map = distortion (in europe mainly, where i did lots of stretching...)

If you make 'muslim world', it should probably contain Indonesia.

lol. it's just a generic name to let me upload the svg: no title, no way to begin creating the map. this map's geography and demographics make naming it difficult, so i wanted some time to think of an appropriate name.

problems with possible names:

- 'muslim world': no good (largest muslim country not included).
- 'greater middle east': better, but, originally, middle east was the place between the near east (closer to europe) and the far east (east asia). so, based on the original meaning of 'middle east', 'greater middle east' is a bit nonsensical...though i might end up using this for lack of a better name...
- any geographical name: too long (eg 'Southwest Asia & Northern Africa') and too complicated: maps' names are 1-3 words at best
- thematic names: good for parts of the map but not all of the map.
- 'the ummah': this might work. it is a vague enough word that depends on interpretation, though it is not a commonly known word: when a new player searches for a map and sees the map 'the ummah', he might just say "hmmm, ah, i dont know what that is..." and move on to play another map...

I suggest "Islamic spread".

In fact, with some little adjustment, your map fits like Abbasid Caliphate + Ottoman Empire + some other historic islamic states (like Sokoto Caliphate in Nigeria, Kingdom of Baguirmi in Chad, Songhai Empire in Mali).

Maybe "the ummah" is the better name but, as you told, it isn't a commonly known word. "Islamic spread" is vague as the previous but is easy to understand and to find.

P.S.
* Here you can see a map of Abbasid Caliphate (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Abbasid_Caliphate_most_extant.png)
* This is Ottoman Empire (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:OttomanEmpireIn1683.png)
