It will be a multi-day game. Also, please tell me any missing connections you find. There's probably quite a few.

Missing connections:

Fairfield County

Darien-Norwalk
Fairfield-Trumbull?
Newtown-Oxford
Shelton-Orange

------------------------------

New London County

Montville-Ledyard

------------------------------

Hartford County

Windsor-Windsor Locks
Newington-Hartford?

------------------------------

Middlesex County

Wallingford-Middlefield
Westbrook-Killingworth?

------------------------------

New Haven County

East Haven-North Branford
Waterbury-Naugatuck
Oxford-Naugatuck
Bethany-Naugatuck
Derby-Ansonia
Bethany-Seymour
Bethany-Chesire?

-------------------------------

I put "?" next to those that are corner connections and might just need to be redrawn. Just FYI, the easiest way to search for missing connections is with the Preview Map screen.

Have you thought about making smaller bonuses?

Oh sorry, I meant I could not agree more. I'm not good at English sayings :)

I might as well add more bonuses, for both east and west (North and south for a couple) parts of the counties, and also some geographical areas.

Definitely needs smaller bonuses.

What's with the square and random lines around the map?

Also, the bonus borders should really be adjacent to one another, not overlapping. It makes it much easier to see where one bonus begins and the other ends... as it stands now it can be difficult to tell which bonus the border territories belong to

@Richard How can I fix that?

Also, I don't know what's with the lines, and I don't know how to get rid of them.

Only way I know to fix it is manually. Move all the necessary borders so they no longer overlap.

As for the other lines, I haven't a clue what they are... would have to see the svg file to help with that.

Matma suggested a semi-automatic approach in [Map Making Question: Technique](http://warlight.net/Forum/Thread.aspx?ThreadID=2925&Offset=3); look at the bulleted list in the middle of his post.

RvW... the inset works well when designing the map from scratch. It's how I did Ireland... draw the bonuses first, inset them to get adjacent borders and then break them into territories. Of course, manual adjustments were still necessary to close some of the gaps created by the inset and fix any odd areas.

Problem with using it for an established map is that it makes all borders adjacent instead of having the borders inside the bonus overlap. Makes for a sloppy map in my opinion.

Of course, I am exceedingly anal about such matters so my opinion should probably be ignored.

Also, for those few who are wondering, one of my next maps will be 1,600 territories.

I forgot that the testing map was the one I linked to in the first post so I deleted it... so here's the dev version I'm going to add the new bonuses to:

@Richard, there are three techniques described there in one post, the one RvW mentioned is not just insetting :)
