I wanted to create a map of Feudal Japan.
Since I am a perfectionist I put a lot of effort into research. That means correct names and locations of castles, cities and more or less their historic significance. Terrain of course, mountains and rivers, since they change the overall strategical situation. I even researched mountainpasses. I read so much about the period, that I planned to incorporate it all and that at the right location. Historical Mines, Ninja Fortresses as well as Ikko Ikki Warrior Monasteries. Wako Pirates and proper trade routes to kyushu, China and Korea. I even had / have proper ideas how to make all of that work in game terms.

But sadly there are certain limits, that I now have to work around and hopefully can make it work nonetheless.

make 2 maps: macro and micro? macro is the main map; then, when it is time to fight in the castles, those players create a new game with the micro map...it isn't an ideal solution, but maybe it could work...

they look both great. the cities are still small but it looks fun to play
