Hello.

Years ago I made this amazing browser based game, but due to technological advancements I have been forced out of my coding comfort zone, which in turn has made my game absolutely horrendous for my players. Could some of you possibly offer some advice on how to improve the game? Current problems include:

Eating hardware for breakfast.
Have multiple pop-ups get stuck on screen, making it impossible to view territories.
Deploy turn getting stuck due to a deploy pop-up freezing.
Recently went from having four web mode settings to three, effectively removing the better option.
Going from one sound option to two, so that users can now choose between game music and getting their ears blasted off, every time they deploy, or having no sound at all.

Maybe I forgot some issues, so please share your experiences. The game is located on www.warzone.com, btw.

Sincerely, Misser.

The most important thing you need to do is set up a page where people can report problems to you. Here's an example: https://www.warzone.com/ReportBug

Then fix the problems that are reported.

Sometimes you'll find users who experience problems but still don't use your page to report the problems, or tell you about it in any way. Don't worry about those users, as you need to find the ones that are good at communication.

It sucks when you're a solo developer and your users keep expecting AAA team of developers to improve your user experience for you :( If only you had some good natured users to give you constructive feedback and use the proper bug reporting tools :(
