When a game is started with army cap option enabled, the count of incomes for each player does not take into account it, even in the case fog is light. Based on this trick, there can be situations where a player who doesn't know this fact is convinced he has a disadvantage in the game.

it's not a bug, it's a feature

^ that's kinda the point :p if you have no fog it'll display the true income, or if there's a stack on your border, it'll take those into account when calculating the income, and obviously you can count some things yourself, especially if there's 1 army stands guard. But if it'd give true income it'd give information based on stacks you can't see, which would kinda defeat the point of having fog at all.

I agree with Meeex on this one.

I've met a lot of opponents on Blitzkrieg Bork who were confused by the income of the other player. And how can they not be confused, when the game is giving them wrong intel?
In this particular situation (light fog + army cap), it might be better to not show any intel at all, rather than show something that could be false.

Personally, I think it would be fine if it was 0 armies stand guard. However, with 1 army stand guard, even if you can't actually see the armies, if you know they have a territory, you know there is at least one army there. If it's going to show you the opponent's income, it should at least take that into account, not just the armies you actually border.

I do agree with you on that Beren, that would be better, although it doesn't fix the problem rak just stated.

However, not showing any intel just means more and more difficult counting, I don't think that'd solve the issue. I don't really think there is a proper solution.

@Meldarion, I don't see why should I do the computations in case of light fog, if there is a computer that can do it for me :)
The point is, when there is enough information to show my income, it should be clearly reported on the Players Tab. In case intel cannot be given (fog or other reasons), then we should be warned in some way intel is in "uncomplete mode", or something like this.
I think @rakleader got my point :)

The situation I found myself in was like this: army cap on, light fog. When game sarted, I saw my opponent income to 2, mine to 0. I suddenly understood there was a bug, instead of wrong intel.

@Meeex light fog displays where your opponents are, not how many armies they have. Army cap isn't based on the territories. I get your point, because I too have played a lot in light fog + army cap, and what beren said would definitely be better, but it's arguable whether or not it's better not to display at all, because if the armies are on your border, they'll be taken into account, making counting the opponents income easier. But yeah, you have to know that it is like that otherwise you might misinterpret the game
