What if there were a whitelist button? Better than an invite... You play someone, not only do you want to invite them in the future, you think hey, that was a good game, That was a good player...You White list them.

Every so often, (once twice a year, player with most White Lists gets a free membership or something.


Would promote (a) playing(more you play, more chances to get whitelisted and (b) not being a**holes(c) for every boot you lose 2 whitelist 'marks'

That does sound like a nice idea, and seems it might discourage some douchebaggery.

2 what will a whitelist do just show someone is good
3 how all players be kept track off
3 the losing it for being booted not all bootings are players fault
4 losing it for boot might make people play less realtime

If we have white and black lists, how about the yellow list? The sort of don't want to but if I had to I would list.
How about a Blue list...
people that I want to play with.. but beat me so bad I turn blue with depression..?

It's only $30 for a lifetime membership...Most games are 10-15 a month these days + the game. This game is virtually free to be a member. Stop being so cheap

A whitelist threshold (player has >= X whitelist points) could be used as a qualification in game creation. People could search for ladder teammates by filtering people via their whitelist. Etc Etc - There could certainly be applications for it that are not available with the current invite list methodology, so being so harshly dismissive of the idea is doing the OP a disservice. I probably wouldn't vote for it though, too many other things I'd like to see first :)

I think a white list is a good idea, but the whitelist points and all of that isn't.

White list should be used as a convienient place to keep all of your favorite players, so you can invite them to games without going through the invite list.

i agree with JAM.

also, it takes ages to load up the invite players screen when creating a new game since its so huge for including all the players you ever played with. having a whitelist would chop down that loading time significantly and allow for faster game creation and better invites to tournaments aswell.

oh, from reading other comments i have now just noticed that i can edit those invite list settings, hadnt found it before. nevermind then. seems like white list request is pretty similar to the invite list that is already in place after all.
