Ah, apparently the update didn't just create a new [map description](
http://warlight.net/Map.aspx?ID=1828) it also tweaked the old [preview map](
http://warlight.net/SinglePlayer.aspx?PreviewMap=4533) (now called "examine this map") screen; removing the description from there. My apologies, when I said it doesn't have a description I was looking in the wrong place. On the bright side, that means that descriptions are now easily selectable (read: easily copy-pastable to Google Translate), pretty much the suggestion made in this thread.
@Hennns: Until yesterday, the text was in a different location, where it was not selectable; until yesterday, Google Translating required someone to manually copy the text (like I did for Poland Big).

Isn't that problem much easier solved with a "Report map" button (or, assuming this is a pretty rare problem, with an email to fizzer@)? If nobody takes offence, it's not a problem (like bad language in private chat with people who don't mind and therefore won't report you), the moment somebody gets offended, it can be verified quick enough.
