Well, you can't make groups too large (8 in a group means a lot of games in RRs). Especially if you are increasing the template amount. If you also increase the group size that is a lot of extra games. I think 6 clans per group should be the target amount.

But I agree with Banana, turn it into C and D now that none of them are new to league.

I'm not sure how popular this is, but I'd be willing to go even smaller. Smaller groups mean quicker seasons. I would be fine with 5 or even 4 clans per level. This also creates opportunities for larger clans like REGL to use more players over a span of time (switch out between seasons) but doesn't hurt smaller clans at all.

I would be fine with that too, especially if clans like apex are worried about the increased game load. But that would all need to be voted on IMO. The trouble is where do you cut it off? Since many good clans have not had a shot at league A yet, you'd be potentially denying them a promotion. Assuming the standings don't change a ton...WG/WM/Apex have proven to be the top tier. If you went to 4 clans, it would be very hard to select that last spot. I would say you'd have to stick with 5 at least and include the promotions from B (101st and Masters). Anything else would not be fair. But the issue there is you do end up relegating an extra 2 clans from A. I am sure the two clans that finish 4th and 5th (out of AHol, VIW, GG) would not be happy about that. Also, that generates ripple effects down (XS or 20 would miss a promotion). I think it can't be cut to more than 6 clans, but sometimes you'd have to do 7 (because there are too many C promotions. Maybe like this?:

A League
WG
WM
Apex
Masters
101st
AHol/VIW/GG (4th place from current season)

B league
AHol/VIW/GG (5th place from current season)
AHol/VIW/GG (6th place from current season)
[20]
XS
XCD
French
BIA

C league
Warlighters
Blitz
REGL
Dragon
BR
? (highest score from team listed in D league list)

D league
Gladiators
bajtan
G spot
turtle
UN
Cavaliers

gg- you'd be in D on my list (and one team would move up to C). But you probably need to send Miyagi profiles for your team (if you have it).

I am not in favor of having groups contain fewer than 7 teams... we went into the season expecting 2 relegations only. It'd kinda suck if the 5th place team gets relegated from group A.

Honestly, the one thing I'd object on that list is the fact that all 4 non-promoting clans from group B were relegated.

Pushover - the 5th place clan in A from last season was relegated (REGL). Only WM/WG/Apex/AHol were in A last season and this season.

I'm not saying it should be that way, but it would have to be if the league size was trimmed. Perhaps trimming the league size is not the best way. I just offered that as an alternative because there was concern about increasing the amount of games.

If you went to less than 6 it would have to start with season 6, but you'd set season 5 up to work into it. You couldn't just jump to that right now. You would go to 6 now, then split something like this after the season

A = top 4 from A
B = other 2 from A + top 2 from B
C = middle 2 from B + top 2 from C
D = bottom 2 from B + middle 2 from C
E = bottom 2 from C + top 2 from D
F = other 4 from D

I agree IF you change the league size, it must be known going into a season. That way the teams competing know what slots are getting relegated and promoted.

My list was meant as more of an example of how that would break down based on the current season.

Bingo. This is why only 2 teams should be relegated from A going into season 5, BIA and whoever finishes 6th (which may or may not be us, hopefully we can pull out some big wins in the team games...) The prior season saw WL and REGL relegated. Similarly, group B should have 2 promotions and 2 relegations. Top team from each C1 and C2 get into B, unless this results in fewer than 7 teams in B, then we can promote the next best 1 or 2 teams from C1/C2 as appropriate. The rest makes up C, and any leftovers + newcomers get into D.

Lets not abruptly change the script now!

I agree, the promotion/relegation rules for this season were decided at the beginning of last season. It should stay the same and then adjustments can be made for next season.

The Rules will stay the same. There will be 3 groups of 8, please check here----> https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ak4DYsbOMnX1dGlZejV6bFpMZjlhVHVfQkJIN3o5SFE#gid=0

This clan league will have 6 1v1s 3 2v2s and 2 3v3s Templates as shown above. However this clan league a player can participate in 4 events no matter what they are Example: I play 4 1v1s. This is okay. One player can play and 4 tournaments the leader chooses for them. As usual no alts allowed if i suspect an alt i have the rights to ban them. Clan leaders please submit to me your lineup ASAP
