For those who are interested, here is a little history of the promotion/relegation league. If anyone can piece the history together better than me, please enlighten me! As best I can tell, the league was started by a player named Chokecherry in May 2012. Here is the original forum post https://www.warzone.com/Forum/3535-promotionrelegation-league . Here is season 2 https://www.warzone.com/Forum/3761-promotionrelegation-league-season-2 . Season one had both weighted random and 16% luck modifier. The only change between then and now is that the 16% luck modifier has been changed to 0% for slightly less luck. The 16% luck modifier was eliminated in season 17. Chokecherry ran the league for the first 10 seasons.

The second league manager was Frankdeslimste • apex. Here is Franks first season (#11) https://www.warzone.com/Forum/17510-promotionrelegation-league-season-11 . By the time Frank started managing the league, There were 10 group (A-G, and 3 H groups). Frank also was the author of a lot of the formal rules that are still used in the league today. Frank ended his tenure as league manager after 8 seasons.

Pushover took over in season 19. By the time he took over, there were 12 groups (A-L). This wasn't sustainable since players only get one chance to promote every season, so the tiered promotion system was introduced in season 20. The tiered system added groups at every level except A and B, and cut down the groups to 7 tiers (A-G).

After season 20, Pushover mysteriously disappeared. Awesomeusername filled the void. I started helping him out by doing some commentating. I took the lead on managing in season 23.

Beren wins his final game against Timinator to clinch the season 25 title! Beren was the only player in group A for the first time. We will now see if he can avoid relegation next season like the last 3 winners! Here are the group A standings:
