"fast game" that is Real Time still active after more than 100 days. That's pretty good. Probably not a record, but still pretty good.

Games don't get deleted once they begin, but this game is close to being considered abadoned anyway so this should resolve itself. See http://wiki.warlight.net/index.php/Abandoned_games

Not anxious for Gaia to be booted, I keep hoping she'll come play a turn, but - Shouldn't this have undergone the abandon process?

I have several games that break this.. does that mean in two weeks they will be considered abandoned..?

The abandoned games system was just launched a short time ago. Warning e-mails were already sent out for all games over 100 days and boots will begin soon.

Meh someone get ahold of Gaia and make her play her turn :) Be a shame if that epic game ended so ignobly!

170 turns is quite an investment. I'm not sure I'd wait 270+ days to see it out, but that's still pretty cool.

Did Gaia burn out or what? She shows up a lot in postings of very old games like that one.

I get so confused by games like that. Why don't the active players just boot the one who has clearly abandoned the game?

Simple - because booting diminishes the awesomeness of winning a game. Go for the gusto!

Personal friendships sometimes. Also, a lot of people (those of you guys who don't have OCD I guess) don't feel the need to clean up their game listing. Certainly it's also true that a lot of people want to play the game to its full potential. My guess would be that Gaia is in a strong enough position to truly matter to the conclusion of the game, and booting her would completely change the outcome.

Good point. I've debating booting you when you were my teammate just for the fun of booting you.

Duke, OCD only applies to things you see.. having not seen the games since the turn has not passed, my OCD does not apply to it..

alot of games are completely ruined by key players being booted, and many variant settings are nearly utterly reliant on players not being booted, as it changes the entire dynamic of the game for many players, if not all included.
