Yes, I'm making a Morrowind map for the third time. This time I want it to be playable, unlike the previous ones :)
It was a surprise for me, but the number of territories grew until it almost reached 1500. I might change the map to make this number a little bit smaller, but first I need to test it in order to know where to make those changes.
Unlike my previous 2 maps, this map won't have almost any special features or "windows". There is a council system - but unlike my previous maps, it is the well-known and good-working council system of Dameon's and Limalia's Westeros maps. (There are about 65 bonuses for every combination of the 6 council seats! It doesn't matter how many seats you hold - you always get only one bonus, the biggest among the ones you own.) There is also a teleportation ring, but I don't think it will cause any problems. On the contrary, I hope they will make the mountainous island more interconnected.
Right now I finished making the main map and naming the territories. I also finished naming and setting up the first-level bonuses. Currently, I'm working with superbonuses. My goal is to make a system of superbonuses that will be good both for strategic games and diplomacies. The overlapping conflicting bonuses can be important for diplomacy games, as I picture them, but I want to make them work for FFA or team games too.
The main way of playing the map will probably be team/ffa games of about 6 players with 2 or 3 starts each. The main distribution includes 18 starts and the superbonuses are set up around those starts. That is why other starting locations probably won't work well with this superbonus system... Still I included an "SB" tag in the names of all superbonuses so that it will be easier to turn them off and I will probably make a distribution that includes all the towns and cities.
