I understand that I am not the perfect player. I often make mistakes mid game and have to start again because of my stupidity. This latest glitch almost sent my mouse through my monitor though.
Trying to complete the gold star on the final level. Once again, in my stupidity I did not take a screen shot. I killed the Boss on my 16th move. This did not complete the level. It randomly continued on minus the Boss as though I had only taken a random territory.
Has anyone else seen this before?
I honestly assumed I made the mistake. Then I viewed the history. Sure enough I did everything correct. Boss dead, level continued on as though I had only taken 1 territory. I have been attempting this level for weeks. I finally did it in 16 moves only to find out that the game crapped out and I have to waist another 3-4 hours to complete. Love the game. Incredibly disappointed in this result.
Has anyone had this happen before? I hope it's not the recent upgrade.

Only killing commanders "defeats" an AI, not killing one of the other 2 bosses.

A boss is not a commander.
Killing a commander eliminates your opponent. Killing a boss does not.

The two first AIs (South America and Europe) of the last level have commanders and can be eliminated by killing those commanders.
But the last AI (Asia) doesn't have one, so you have to eliminate it the regular way by taking all of its territories.
