I have seen many people complain about the local deployment in seasonal ladders. I tried out this setting and I LOVE IT. It makes the game much more strategic and makes you think much more. So why do people complain about it?

Because on larger maps the game is reduced to moving troops from one territory to another, over and over again and by the time they get to the other end the game is over. It's time consuming and tiresome.

I wouldn't say it's less strategic. I would say local deployment is completely about logic.knowing which bonus to go for and which direction to focus your income is all based on logic. I think people don't like it is because we have uSed local deployment the last two seasons in a row and people are getting tired of it. I still find it kind of fun, especially with randomiZed bonuses. Randomized bonuses help discourage the triple pick in Asia

Well, i would say it's even more strategic, as you have to take one more constraint into consideration and have to plan things earlier. I think there are few different reasons to complain about it. Playing real-time it's more time consuming, but it's not that troubling in multi-days. Some people don't like changes, they feel comfortable playing game they know and and play well. Some just don't like this style as well as many people don't play multi-attack. Also,as TWM wrote, third season in a row is a bit too much i think. One more thing - games usually takes much longer - it's harder to estimate opponent's income, so quite often after the end you may notice that the game was decided long ago and many turns was pointless anyway - it can annoy a bit too.

Yeah i don't like it either. It draws games out that are over and someone does not know it. Also, there is way less strategy because your deployment options are so limited. Then as mentioned the clicking is the same over and over just ferrying troops. I think the setting can be cool in places (it works great on my new map), but i would rather not see it in ladders
