Favorite TV (it was a special so I don't know if I'd call it that but meh) show:GENERATION WAR
Deals with WW2 from the perspective of a group of German friends. Two are soldiers, one is a popular singer in Germany, another is a nurse on the Eastern front and the last is a Jew who escapes the train to the concentration camps and joins the Polish resistance. Very well done and incredibly accurate for a from the German perspective
Incredibly well done musical, but I actually like the cinematic rendition more than the original cast. The only movie that ever made me shed a few tears in compassion for the characters, it deals with a poor man who steals a simple loaf of bread to feed his family. He escapes prison and evades the police, eventually adopting a new identity and becoming a wealthy business man. Sadly one of the employees under him dies, leaving her daughter without a parent and she asks him to take care of her since his firing her lead to her eventual death (long story). He then travels to Paris, evading the police where the daughter matures and meets a young man who's involved in the French revolution. Long story short they fall in love and the a bunch of other things happen but I am spoiling it :D amazing movie, maybe my favorite.PHANTOM OF THE OPERA
Original London cast or GTFO. Possibly one of the most powerful male performances I've personally ever experienced in a musical. Everyone else is good, but the guy who played the phantom stole the show and I forget his name atm. I think its available on Netflix and you could probably find it on the internet or even YouTube if you dig deep enough.
^Very recommended, listening to it as I write this.
It follows the adventures of a young rising star in Paris, Christine as her opera career takes off but a deformed man who lives in the opera house basement (or something like that) falls in love with her, declaring himself the 'Angel of Music' and that he gives her special powers. The Phantom
falls in love with Christine and tries to make her fall in love with her in love, but while at first Christine's heart is captured by the mystery and amazing powers[/b] of the Phantom she falls in love with another man and a friend from her childhood, angering the Phantom into becoming violent and trying to not only kidnap Christine but kill her lover as well.
