Since the last update, old forum posts are regularly purged; the threads only get to stay for 6 months after the last post in them was made. I don't really see why, as I think they're certainly the least strain on Warlight servers - maybe because the new full-text search would have trouble skimming thru all the old posts?

Anyway, I decided to archive them myself ;) I ran a mirroring script just a few hours before the 1.09 update.

Yes, uncompressed - a little over 40 megabytes.

Would it be possible to combine several versions of the mirror into one "delete nothing" version of the forum? To the best of my knowledge, posts cannot ever be deleted (well, except of course after six months), nor edited, so it might be possible to merge them...?

I'm also quite sure posts and topics can be deleted by Fizzer manually.

Afaik, the only way to delete posts/topics is with Fizzers administrative powers.

What is the need to keep posts from more than 6 months past other than maybe wanting to throw something in someones face?

there are alot of old posts that I think should of been kept.. doing with strategy on challanges etc. I intended to try and get a group of people to re-create an epic Insane Challange and Crazy Challange Threads, and then talk Fizzer into making those threads perma
