In [this game](http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer.aspx?GameID=1726675) (which is fogged and ongoing), the automatic boot is set to 8 hours with banking. Turn 8 happened at 2011-11-25 09:02:42 according to the timestamp. On turn 9, player markwaite was automatically booted "after they did not take their turn for 17 hours." Except turn 9 happened at 2011-11-25 09:27:20, less than 25 minutes after turn 8. How can someone be booted after 25 minutes with an 8 hour boot time? Doesn't the boot counter reset when a turn is taken?

There's a bug with the autobooter that has made it unreliable in the last few days -- this will be fixed when v1.09 goes live, which will hopefully be tomorrow night. Thanks for reporting it. In the meantime, you can always just click the direct boot button.

Okay... Just to clarify, this is not someone who should have been booted but wasn't. This was someone who should NOT have been eligible to boot but was autobooted anyway. I don't know if that's caused by the same bug or not.

I looked at the log and the game advanced at 2011-11-24 23:42:47:966, and markwaite never entered his orders and was booted into an AI at 2011-11-25 17:02:41:960. Then the AI entered his orders for him.

I think the issue here is that the booted event showed up in the game on turn 9, when it should have shown up at turn 8. This happens because the AI took its turn before the event was inserted, causing all of turn 8 to happen before the boot event could be inserted. I actually just found this bug and fixed it. The fix will go out with the 1.09 release, coming soon.

Unrelated to anything in this post, other than the new version: Fizzer, you're making another update?! This fills my heart with both glee and horror! Obviously I'm happy, because every update just makes an already great game even better. However, us poor saps on the other side of the world get our weekend Warlight parties (sad, no?) interrupted! ;D

Unfortunately there's no time for downtime that works for everyone. I stay up late and do them at 1am my time, on weekends since that's when the fewest people are playing WarLight, but I also realize that it's the middle of the day for some people. The good news is that this update will be faster than the two previous ones -- it could be as fast as 5-8 minutes, but I'm estimating 15 to be safe.
