This map, while really cool is really taxing the system. I have one game where it often crashes flash and in the rest even activities like chat are really really laggy. Is this just an isolated experience? Are most people seeing this? It seems that the more people you put in it the worse it gets.

Is it possible to take the existing map and make an east and west version that would cut the size in half but maintain a lot of the inherent fun features?

I've tested this in Chrome, IE and Firefox. I'm seeing the same lag in all three, but my cubemate seemed to have slightly better results.

it is laggy. but i think most people know this and stay away. that and it takes too long with just about everyone leaving out of bordrom. try it in a multi day. its more fun and relaxing.

You should zoom in a lot, then it laggs less.

I've always had issues with this map, due to the super-size of it.

Even worse is if the creator uses light or no fog. Then every single move is shown and even if not lagging it is slooooooow. I stay away from that map. Can't imagine why people try to play 6 person FFA on it. It'll be ages before you meet up with anyone.

I agree, it's extremely large. I'd like a smaller version, with the smaller counties grouped together, to make a map with ~1000 territories.

Also, a version with the bonuses turned into territories would be nice.

Have only played this map a handful of times and am currently playing it multi player. Have to say I shall not be playing it again and dread when the turn comes round.

Perrin, I know, but I mean that there would be more territories then small, but less then big.

yeah, a similar map only smaller would be nice. there's such a huge gap between large and small, a USA Medium would be nice.

I second the vote for a US Medium. I hate the size of the large, and the small really is just over too soon, and is too cramped for large teams.

Yes, there is the designated markets map, but it looks weird and is rather confusing. I might take the SVG for the big one and union a bunch of the counties together to make a smaller map.

I like that Big US map, but Medium US would be good too.

you could use all the smaller bonuses, like southwestern iowa for example, and not include some smaller ones like delaware.
