Color change - save option ?: 12/6/2016 18:54:52

Hi, i couldn't find it anywhere and i am pretty sure this option doesn't exist already, but i hope it's gonna change!

There is this awesome possiblility to change the colors ingame. That's very helpful, when you are used to your own color and particulary in Team-Games where u can make teams "blueish", "redish" or "greenish" aso. for simple identification and to get a better strategic overview of the map. But when you are playing several Multi-Day-Games and you have to change the color every single time you make a move, that's annoying the damn hell out of me^^

Is there any chance of saving the changed colors for every single game, so you don't have to do it all over again and again? I mean it can't be so difficult to integrate this option and it shouldn't take too much space saving it for every player.

you know theres actually a reason why they're called TEMPORARY colors and PERMENANT colors

I.E. if you paid for smokey black but everyone keeps changing your color to gray, then what's the point of having a permenant color in the first place

Dude i don't think you got the point. Most people are already changing your color anyway! This function already exists, it's only about saving this changes you made in Multi-Day-Games.

I didn't knew there were different colors like "temporary" and "permanent". I didn't even knew you can buy colors^^ but it doesn't matter, that's a decision everybody has to to make for himself, if you want to buy a color or not. And i don't really care if you have bought a color or not, cause i can change it ingame anyway. The color you bought is for your own eyes!

How is said, my question is only, if there is a chance that this "color-save-function" can be added to the game?

1. i'm surprised there is no 'uservoice it' post yet
2. uservoice it or not, it most likely won't be on Fizzer immediate roadmap anyway
3. i think i've posted same idea some times ago (or at least thought about it :D). I could only add now, that making it members-only feature is very easy way to slight increase membership value :)

FALSE

because as you said it, the current color change system is inconvenient

as in you have to change the color every time you log into that same Multi-Day game since none of your changes are ever saved

and because of that, it's very unlikely for that feature to be used as much as you think it is... (i haven't touched it once in months)

after all, why would anyone want to go through all that trouble if it really is as much of a pain as your making it out to be

at least do some sort of consensus first before making such a blunt assumption such as that <_<

FALSE it's RIGHT

At least do some sort of reading, understanding and thinking about it, before making such a blunt assumption, that i was only talking about Multi-Day-Games.
I do always change the colors in Real-Time and Multi-Day-Games, i just said it's annoying that you can't save your settings in Multi-Day-Games. In Real-Time-Games i am reading quite often in the Team-Chat stuff like "please write the name instead of the color because i changed colors", therefore i can assume that a lot of players are changing the colors as well.
And in what kind is your post helpful to come to a solution for my problem/question.

Take an example on this post:

1. i'm surprised there is no 'uservoice it' post yet
2. uservoice it or not, it most likely won't be on Fizzer immediate roadmap anyway
3. i think i've posted same idea some times ago (or at least thought about it :D). I could only add now, that making it members-only feature is very easy way to slight increase membership value :)

Out of this post you can see there a more people like me, who may already have suggested the same idea earlier. And it might be a good idea of adding this feature to the membership. This is a constructive post! Also i disagree on that adding to the membership part ;) but at least it's a helpful post with points to discuss.

- One uservoice is here
https://warlight.uservoice.com/forums/77051-warlight-features/suggestions/6156038-save-changed-colors-in-multi-day-games

I can remember one or two posts over it. Also the topic goes about saving un-commited orders. When you play large map with few peoples, it could take up to half an hour to commit. https://warlight.uservoice.com/forums/77051-warlight-features/suggestions/11551719-submit

But for your information, there is a workaround for this. Some browsers save some stuff. For example mine does not save colors but all orders are being saved for me. Using Chromium under Linux environment. No idea what feature of that does it.

Cyan and aqua are just annoying to see next to each other, I have to change them sometimes, but because it doesn't save I have to do that every time which is just annoying. I wouldn't need this feature for anything but aqua and cyan, they're just to similar
